Why provide equine assisted services and programs?
It is in the simplicity of our interactions with horses that this form of development and discovery initiates positive change. Pioneer Farm was built with simplicity as part of its core values. With the advent of such works by the scientist E.W. Wilson and his theory of biophilia, as well as child advocacy expert and author of ‘Last Child in the Woods’, Richard Louv, we have come to a point in our increasingly complex world where learning in a natural environment such as Pioneer Farm is not only needed but necessary to achieving our best potential as human beings.
